ok...I"m getting weirded out now

Ok, so I'm looking at all these pictures of people who just got their NEA....and noticed they all have forward assists...so I went and looked at the website..yep all the pictures have forwards assists.

So how come my NEA that I bought a month ago, doesn't have a forward assist? Was that a special feature that I should have asked for?

REally confused.
 
Unless you specifically asked for a "slab-side" upper, you should have a forward assist...

We build a version of our PDW without a Forward Assist and any other model in this configuration upon request.
 
to the best of my knowledge I didn't request anything different. I guess I'm not that bothered that it doesnt' have it...just was strange to me why I was the only one I had seen without it.

for a PDW, you dont even want forward assist. Just bulky part of the rifle that wont fit under your jacket nice and tight against your body.
 
If I'd known this, I would have ordered mine without the forward assist. Personal preference. I won't refuse mine, once it arrives, because of it though.
 
I've only had to use my forward assist once, and that was more a matter of just because it was there and I wanted to say I did it; I could've cycled the bolt to load the cartridge just as easily.
 
in my opinion forward assists are there for a reason. punching holes it targets however i guess ya dont need it. I think it looks wierd with out one though i guess je im used to the C7 where the forward asists is used in all the weapon drills thus i apply them to my AR.

Yeah I hate it when the FA prints through my Armani suit. :jerkit:

Some users demand a FA, some don't. I can't see concealment being the deciding factor.
