Ok, I'll bite. Tell me about your Mosin nagant's

performance is very closely identical to the 308 just that it has a rim. Mosin nagants are really great for the money and they are accurate, reliable, and most of them are in excellent condition. Surplus ammo is cheap too. I think that everyone should have a mosin in their collection.
 
Disagree. The bullet diameter is the same as the .303, but ballistically, 54R is somewhere between .308 and .30-06 - probably closer to '06.
 
Yeah, how does 2800fps out of a 91/30 with a 150grn bullet sound? Thats Russian surplus. I can't figure out why the 54r is always compared to the 303 with 400fps more(at least) velocity.

Surprisingly, I have gotten near MOA ((1.5 MOA to be exact) with my Nagant Sniper firing 7N1 through it. Bet it would even do better with handloads. Got a set of dies and 100+ pieces of brass, but with all the fodder I have, haven't had need to try yet....Here's some pics...

I gotta say, I love the Mosin and its infinite variations, its varied nations called home and its long service. At the price certain ones go for, its not even worth asking if its worth doing, just do it!
