OK, my turn...need some help with a front site.

OK, so heres my thing....went out for the first time today with my savage 24, and it was shooting low.....WAY low. With the rear sight as high as it would go, I was still 8" low at 50 yards (.22 mag)

Anyway, I have since determined that somebody put an aftermarket front site on it, and it's stupid high (duh....you'd think I woulda noticed eh? )

Anyway, can someone help me find/order a proper front site? Barel Dia is .514, height I need is .350, and it's held on with a single screw threaded into the barrel (no DT). The rear sight is the standard v notch with the little sliding elevator, so slightly higher than 350 would be OK.

Can anyone give me a hand?

If the sight is patridge shaped, just file it down and re-blue. - dan

How old of a 24 we looking at, whats the serial range, I'll look it up in the catalog.

Thanks guys, I actually found an old front site off of a rossi .22 and drilled it to make it fit. I couldn't file down the old one enough, but the new one is just perfect now
