Good day Gents,

Digging through a random box of things, I found a two toned mag...it seems to have a lanyard loop and a partial c broad arrow on the top side of the base plate. I have limited knowledge of these sort of things. I am sure that it has a value, but I am not sure what that is. I know that everyone will say that without a pic that no one would know.
No bashing please. I only have limited access to a computer and little knowledge of pic hosting.
Can someone ballpark a value....low balling condition at 50%?

The original 2 tone mags purchased in the Colt Canadian Contract of 1914 the mags were not marked. Within weeks a another contact was written for 10,000 spare magazines. The second contract magazines were all stamped as seen in the above picture. About 8-9 years ago, I owned 7 of the 5,000 Canadian Contract Colt and was paying anywhere from $150- $250 for a mag due to its condition.
 
These are always a great find! And quite valuable.

As mentioned, they are the spare mags supplied for the Canadian Contract 1911's used by the CEF.
 
I remember a time when they were quite common and could be picked up new in the wrap as surplus.

I know, I'm showing my age with that statement.

I was curious so I went through my original two tone, Colt 1911 mags and found that I have two with lanyard rings. One has the C broad arrow stamp, in excellent condition, and the other looks like it's been there, done that but still functions flawlessly.

I may have to consider trading the C broad arrow mag off???????????
