Hi,
I just got an old 22 single shot no serial #'s all it says is "Ranger .22 cal." on top of the receiver. What is this and how old? I'll try and get pics up tommorow.
Thanks
Lots of old ranger models made by different manf. I suspect its a model made by Cooey for Eatons. That stamp indicates pre WWII. Picture will tell the tail-----Cowboy
Its a Cooey all right, a model 75 type made for Eatons. The hump fore stock is the later type. Check the screw that holds the rear sight. If its flat slot its early model if its phillips its a late model. True piece of Canadian history------Cowboy
I got the exact same one, not a rare 22. Handed down from my late Grandfather and soon to be shoot by the fourth generation. I think it is a great gun to learn the basics on. I just wish it still had the orginal rear sight ramp like yours.
