old 30/30 ammo

I have a few 30/30 cartridges that have been laying around here for some time. If I'm remembering right, they came from my grandpa's shop when I was very young (more than 25 years ago for sure). They look to be 170 grain soft point, and their is no manufacturer headstamp, only has 30-30. Also, my current brass all seems to have a little recess above the rim, where as these are solid. What do I have here? TIA

You have a few bullets you should send to me so I can safely make them harmless out the end of my 30-30.

We have a number of similar cartridges at our house - no name headstamp, came in a black box of 20 back in the 1970's, IIRC. God knows where they came from originally, but we still have hundreds of the buggers.

Shoot 'em. Decent enough stuff, and certainly reloadable.
