Old. 303 british ammo

So years ago I bought a lot of about 600 surplus. 303 british rounds most from the 40's gone through about half of it in the last 10 years.. Have this one pack curiosity to see if it will fire is killing me.. Any one see problems with trying it apart from duds... It is 111 years old

That ammo in that pack might be worth some money to an ammo collector........

Finding ammo packs in that condition from that time period is often like finding a hen's tooth.

Seeing as how the ammo pack itself is in excellent condition (hasn't been water soaked) there's a good chance that the ammo will still go bang.

That wrapping looks pristine. I had/have some that are dated 1915-1918. They were stored in a shed outside for the better part of 40 years or so. Ammo was corroded as hell. All went off, albeit, with a few Click-bangs amongst them. I would have no problem firing them, but they look so pretty as is.

I'm sure you could sell that for at least 40 bucks perhaps even more. Personally, I don't shoot ammo that is mint in box but, if it was loose I would go for it.

If shooting ammo is all your after, you can probably sell or trade that and easily be able to buy a box or even two of new ammo.

That is very collectible, I would love to have a pack or two like that for a Display.

If they survived the Great War, let them be. Save them for posterity. I know it's only ammunition but they have some sort of intrinsic value outside of being shot off for fun.

That pack is worth money to a collector trying to get one for each year.

Sell the pack to a collector, then buy factory ammo to shot and sell the once fired brass to reloaders.
Win, win, win, do this often and you will become tired of winning.

Ah the dum dum round.... You know that hole is (if my mind isn't off) about 3/4" deep.

Hi, i have a pack of .303 Cordite S A Ball mark 6 Dated 16 12 07. The corner of the paper is open from wear but string has never been undone. Any idea who would by the pack and what would it be worth. Thanks
