Old ammunition, pictures

Wow!!:eek: My Dad bought his way back in, probably, the 1940's or 1930's. The complete fore-end was missing and a blacksmith made one for it. I used that shotgun for many years after my dad passed away. The trigger guard was sharp, and every year I would cut my second finger on it. I just may take the old shotgun out this year for a chicken hunt. Other than the two I have, I have only ever seen one other one. Nice shotguns.

kjohn, if you ever want to invest in anotherTobin scattergun, they do come up once or twice a year at one or the other of the online auctions down here. As I recall, they don't usually sell for a much unless it's something REALLY unique and in excellent condition.

Many people have never heard of them. Frank Tobin started his company in Connecticut and later got Canadian investors to buy out his US partners. My finding a Tobin .22rf RIFLE - which if you believe all the old Tobin catalogs, that little gun didn't exist - got me interested in researching the company. :confused:
