Old binos, can they be fixed up?

I have a pair of Bushnell binos with a lot of hard miles on them. They have been covered in blood, bumped and battered, had the rain wiped off the lenses with whatever peice of mud covered clothing I could stretch out, and generally worked hard. I stil like them, but they have lost the quality of image they once had.
Do I need to bite the bullet and buy a new pair, or can the lenses be polished again? coated? I don't want to buy a $100 pair and I can't afford the Swarovski's I would really like(I think I can, my wife says different).

Send Bushnell an email and see what they say. I've been dealing with them for a pair of H20 and after many delays they've upgraded me (twice due to delays) to a Excursion EX. Worst they could say is no. Also, if you do have to get a new pair I'm not convinced that $1000+ is needed for a set of bino's. My H20's have been with Bushnell for months now and I'm leaving my hunting trip next fri (11th). I'm not convinced that my replacements will be here in time so I went to buy a set (Vortex Diamondback) from Cabela's last weekend. After getting there I was told that there were completely sold out of all Diamondback and Crossfires, the sales rep suggested I try the Nikon Monarch's. Long story short, I walked out with a set of Monarch 5 in 10x42. I compared them to a set of Vortex Viper HD and I couldn't tell any difference, at least to my eye's (still 20/20). There not $100 but there also not $1000 either. Prices at $300 there are well worth it for a middle of the road bino.

I've got a pair of H20's and they have been decent.
Stumbled into a pair of Excursions for a brown one and a wee
bit of change. These are great.
Gave my youngest the H20's.
I'm pretty impressed with the Excursions.

if you typically find yourself wiping rain off the lenses with a muddy cloth .... $2000 Zeiss or Leitz will perfom no better than what you have. Check out Kijiji for a replacement pair if Bushnell cant help you out. Leupold had some inexpensive porroprism "Yosemite" that appear occasionally at dealers for reasonable prices and they are pretty good!

Zeiss or Leica have come out with a pair of bino's, roof prism's, for around the $400 or $500 mark, that a friend says slays most of the $1000 entry level higher end bino's.

you may wish to look into this. kills me I can't remember the brand tho. >.<

and as much as I hate to admit it...Olivon actually came out with a sleeper pair of ED bino's that are very close to the one's mentioned above. issue, as I found it is they suffer from flare worse than the others and are quite a bit heavier, which is always a concern if you need to lug them through the bush.

The Minox BF 8 X 42 water proof binox are a great value for dollar optic. My son bought them from Cabelas in Saskatoon last summer, I'm very impressed.
