I have a Rem 7400 with an old Bushnell Banner 3x9 with the BDC turret on top.

I think I've figured it out.

It's got a little window in the turret that rotates throug 100 to 450 yards.

There's a screw in lid on the top of the turret that once removed allows you to remove the range turret exposing the elevation adjustment screw below.

I assume that you just zero it at 100 yards, insert the range turret so that 100 yards lines up ith the hatch line then screw the lid back on.

Has anyone got experience with this system? Would love your comments. Eye relief is fine for me with the scope.

Is the screw in lid waterproof? There was no water or rust inside when I removed it. The range turret is in gppd shape too.

The rifle is a generalist for pie plates from 50 yards and out.

If I plan to keep the Banner on the 7400 I will get some low or medium QDs to replace the horrible Weaver see through rings, zero the irons at 25 yards. Otherwise I'll put an illuminated LPVO on it.
