C.I.L. didn't pack it in until about '76, yes.IVI was 76 was it not. We have talked about that a few times on this site but hey I am wrong at least 25 times a day per the mrs![]()
I would have to check for sure, but I know for a fact they were still making ammo in the brownsburg plant in '73 and selling rebranded Franchi, Parker Hale, Anschutz, and Savage guns as well as some Spanish and Brazilian shotguns , and Eley ammo.
edit note: My father worked for C.I.L. for almost 30 years, and I just checked his 25 year gold watch that he received from the company - in 1974.
He ended up his career with them as Shoot Sports Development Manager.
