C.I.L. didn't pack it in until about '76, yes.
I would have to check for sure, but I know for a fact they were still making ammo in the brownsburg plant in '73 and selling rebranded Franchi, Parker Hale, Anschutz, and Savage guns as well as some Spanish and Brazilian shotguns , and Eley ammo.
edit note: My father worked for C.I.L. for almost 30 years, and I just checked his 25 year gold watch that he received from the company - in 1974.
He ended up his career with them as Shoot Sports Development Manager.

The Plus 10 shells are unusual, at least in my eyes. Never saw them out in the boonies. Mostly all Imperial, Canuck, and some Maxim. Gevelot for a while, too. Everybody and his dog used CIL ammo of some sort. Hard to imagine this nowadays, with every little detail discussed to death, but a lot of shotgun shells were purchased with price first in mind. .22 ammo was 99.9% CIL too.
