Well I picked up a box of old miscellaneous reloading gear from a fellow in town. Buried amongst the treasures were a few boxes of old CIL primers. For the life of me I cannot seem to find and the information on said CIL no.4 BP primers.

As one of many who enjoy the challenge and thrill of reloading for shotguns I instantly recognized him as a shotgun primer. My thoughts are therefore an old black powder style hull( but I could be totally wrong again)
Any input is greatly appreciated

I wish we lived closer together. I have a couple hundred old paper Canuck hulls that use those primers. Would be fun to load a bunch with black powder and fibre wads.

Those are shotshell primers. I have an (empty) box . . . on the back it says "FOR ALL BRANDS AND GAUGES OF CIL SMOKELESS POWDER SHOTSHELLS." I used to load them in CIL Canuck paper hulls, in the late 70s.
