I have been getting caught up on getting two claw mount mounted scopes to be adjusted to a 7x57 Mauser. The rifle came with an older Zeiss Diavari 1.5-6x and the other is I believe a Hensoldt Wetzlar 7x42.
Off course Windage is adjusted from the rear claw base in much the same manner as iron rear sights where you loosen the screw on the side you want the sight to move to , then tighten the other side screw.
I managed to boresight windage for 25m without any extra tools to the point they are both the same distance on the left by an inch, confirmed by firing. I blame my astigmatism for that inch.
The Zeiss is an inch and a half low and the Wetzlar is the same amount high.
Now comes the current problem. The Zeiss has 4 screws on the elevation knob, The Wetzlar has 3.
Anyone have instructions for these types?
And of course all my digital cameras have dead batteries that are being charged right now.
Pictures to follow.
