i just found an old 760 in a pile of junk, at first i thought no big deal, then i realized it was heavier than my old one (1980 ish) it has a brass cocking handle, wood fore-stock, and metal construction.

any idea what years these were made? it feels solid as a rock and still works.

The first variant was produced from 1966-1970(IIRC) and had a wooden butt stock, grooved wooden fore stock, and brass bolt, after which they went to plastic stocks.
They are great little guns. I bought mine new in 1967 and wore out the trigger in 3 yrs. The replacement has lasted well and I resealed it a couple of yrs back, as well as made a new tighter fitting bolt to seal the breech better.
