Its the Gun on the top.

Its old and looks cool - It has "Jansen & Sons" on the side of the action.

I haven't been able to find anything about it. Do any of you know much about these oldies.
Thanks,

MC

Alot of old poorly made doubles and knockoffs of more expensive guns were made in Belgium and given names close to the orig. Such is the case with most guns marked "Jansen & Sons". In this case they are usually knockoffs of another Belgian maker named "Jansen Freres" a maker of mid qual. doubles.

Double check the spelling. Mine is Janssen Sons & Co. It is a 12 Ga. Double barrel, fluid steel barrels, but marked "fine damascus finish". The pistol grip has a Lions Head carved in it. It is my understanding that they were European pioneers in mass production of guns using parts interchangability. They exported a lot of guns and it was my understanding that guns exported to English speaking countries had the maker's name in the English format. My grandfather told me he paid $13 for it and his father thought that was a high price to pay for a shotgun.
