Old Enfield Nosecap

I need some help identifying this piece. I can't find any info for reference on the net. I bought it because I was told it was for a Long Lee Enfield, but it doesn't fit my stock as there is a little wooden nub that protrudes at the end of the stock (which I believe should fit all the way through the proper nosecap). Anyway, I am looking to trade this for the proper nosecap that I need but I want to ID it first. I don't see any markings on it.

It is for a Martini Metford/Enfield .303" Artillery Carbine. The cap for the Long Lee has the cut out on an angle vs the square cut for the Martini.
