Traded an break action shotgun today for this bad boy....All matching , Blued, As you can see.... Very worn but no rusting. Bore is great. NO import markings that I noticed.

This is one of the early 1980s (or so) imports from Century Arms I think?

Very nice, was clearly issued (to someone) after refurbishment.

Definitely looks issued......I was told was bought in the 1970. But I could only confirm pre 1990 100% my self. I don't know when the import markings were introduced....

Either way, I have to use an aftermarket mag or buy a non matching one so its going to be my shooter! Im still VERY happy because she looks awsome!

Only recent exports out of Russia have export markings. US have import markings. The exports previously sent out of Poland and Ukraine to import to canada had no markings.

There is a difference between an export marking, and an import marking.

Something as old as the import you have wouldn't have any either. Beautiful find. Wonderful look to it.

I would say most of SKSs in Canada do not have import or export markings. It's very strange you did not see any before as it's just most recent batches from Russia have those export markings.
Regardless, it's a nice used SKS, I think I saw only one like this recently, it was non refurbished, very well used with most of the bluing gone. Definitely seen service for a long period.
 
These were selling for $500 just before the big importation of rifles several years ago. Beautiful!!
 
Think I figured out my EE add for this....

RARE collectors edition Unissued SKS, Fired once SKS and only shot non corrosive. Was a safe princess all her life. Cleaned meticulously. Mint condition. You'll want to buy this one!

16,999$ firm, buyer pays shipping and insurance. Will consider trade for the right house.
 
Got one just about like it and happy as heck at the time to get a real SKS. :) Must have seen some combat, someone sharpened the bayonet on mine with a file.
