Old Lakefield. Question about extractors

I have an old lakefield mossberg Mark 2 repeater. When hold the gun ready to shoot: Which side of the bolt is the ejector???? I know there are two and one is the ejector(not as round nosed). Having trouble with extraction issues. Thought I better give a pic of the stamping so I don`t get spanked by calling it a Lakefield Mossberg lol.....that is what it is.

the firing pin acts like an ejector as you were asking. it bottoms out when fired and bolt is retracted pushing aginst the burnt casing and throwing it out as it is only held by the one extractor.but creates a space when cocked so the casing can be held in place by the bolt, then when fired the pin strikes the casing cap.

Extraction issues can be cured perhaps by a thorough cleaning around the extractor or a gentle filing on the extractor so it pulls the casing out.

Thanks. I took both out and cleaned the grooves really good. Its too bad they are so expensive, I`d just replace them. At $25 a piece, not going to happen. This only does this with the CCI, not the Federals or the Winchester Super X`s. My new Ruger 10/22 cycles them no problem.
 
CCI rim thicknesses are on average thicker then winchesters, making them snugger under extractor.
On this model I've seen any shell stick if you are "gentle" about ejecting them.
With an assertive bolt retraction any shell would follow a similar path of flingage.
You don't need to punk rock'em outta there, but mean it.
A dirty headspace can affect this too though. (totally man).

After cleaning the extractor grooves and re-installing the extractors, I kept the bolt out and stuck each of the shells in the extractor arms. The Federals are nice and snug, I could pull on them and couldn`t get them to pop out of the arms. The CCI`s on the other hand.....they don`t seem to be held as good and pop out way too easily. Its almost like the rim is not flat(slant up to main body) or thicker to the point that the extractors won`t grab onto it.
