Old lee turret press

A friend of mine gave me a old Lee turret press the other day, and after looking it over I'm not sure how to put it together. I'm also not sure if I have all the parts. Could someone tell me if i have all the parts, and how it goes back together. Also can I still buy replacement turrets and accessories for this press?

Yes you can still get parts for that press, and many dealers on this site carry them.

I have a classic turret press with the 4 hole plate. Yours looks like all the parts are there from what I can see. Check out Lee's website for info and instructions on their equipment.

looks like all you need is the wood knob for the end of the lever- but get a package of new ratchets anyway- they're cheap and that's about the only thing that ever goes on these

It might be worth your while to get the 4-hole update kit, they retail about $40. To speed things up, get a lee auto prime and prime your cases before they are needed.

IIRC the lee website has all the manuals for their presses.

Are the ratchets the little plastic gear things?

I still have the ratchets mine came with originally, but I don't use these presses as progressives much. I have two of them, one I use as a range press. One has been used since the mid eighties. They are a good press, just take reasonable care of them. - dan

That was my first press, although mine came without the auto-index. I loaded god knows how many shells on that thing, mounted on tables with C clamps, dresser tops, a small table my late father in law made me and just on mine knees as often as not. A few years ago I pulled it out from under the bench, fixed a broken toggle, converted it to 4 hole and auto index and put it back under the bench. Yes, I'm aware that that doesn't make any sense.

I just noticed that I'm missing the little priming arm (not sure what its called) dose anybody know where I can get a replacement?

yea, all your parts are available from lee directly as well as higgenson's which is a whole lot closer to you- part number is tp2122- primer arm assembly- you might as well get tp2131 as long as you're there- that's the instruction /parts booklet- i'd quote you prices, but mine is an 86 or so

Do these primer arms just drop in the hole on the press or is there any other parts I need?

It should just drop in.

no should about it- it's a "t" and the long part drops in the slot at the front of the press
