Old Lyman sight

Any idea what era this Lyman sight is? Is on an old rifle from the 1870-1880 period

A little newer than 1880, I'm thinking. Lookes similar to the old Beeches combination front sight you could order from Winchester in the early 1900's. Are there two beads of different heights on it? The Beeches had multiple beads, a lower height one for use with the barrel iron sight and a higher one for use with a tang peep sight.

Hi Mike

Sorry missed your post. I don't have the rifle but it does have Lyman on it. Think I google fu'd it and it was a Lyman 5
