Anyone have any idea what a 1908 manufacture Winchester Model 94 in good-very good condition might be worth?

Thx

You need to post some detailed photos of the wood to metal joins, the barrel stampings, and the over all rifle each side. If it has been re-blued or the wood sanded and refinished, it's collector's value is gone.

Thanks. I definitely appreciate the fact that one would have to know that it was all original. I will get pictures up when I get a moment. Assuming it was all original and in "good" condition (ie. bluing very good, wood with very good finish but minor dings, action function excellent, barrell rifling sharp but with some pitting, overall very tight) would you know the approximate range?

knowing the caliber would help too. Some calibers are more sought after than others. Factory add-ons appreciate the value as does the configuration...rifle or carbine, full mag or button mag. round or octagon barrel...etc. The range can vary from $250 to thousands.

You should not sell the gun until you have had a Winchester "expert" look at it and handle it, and pictures will not give you an accurate value if indeed it is a valuable piece.

If you live in Ontario I know a few fellows who would look at it for you, and give you an HONEST appraisal. Like WT says, the value range is huge.

Google "Winchester Arms Collectors Association" (WACA). Their website has a forum where you can go to for more information.

I'm assuming your serial number is greater than 359,999 as if it were less than this, you could have obtained a factory letter authenticating your rifle. Otherwise, the next best option is as the fellows have mentioned - get it properly appraised so you know what you have and if selling it, can get fair value for it.
