I was digging through my files of pictures I took in school and found the folder from the CF exercises in suffield I got to tag along on. I'd forgotten what was probably my favorite picture from that trip:

Tracer rounds had lit a grassfire that morning, so the ground was still charred and smokey. I got to hang around for the section runs, where 8-10 guys did moving and shooting drills. I don't think there were any C8s there, but lots of C7s and C9s. After watching the guys fire 40mm chalk rounds I was super judgemental of videogame/movie M203s that make the wrong kind of *PHHOMP* when the go off. Here's the original image that I found super bleak:

Does anyone else have pictures they've snapped of their issued rifles? I'm always curious how close some of the "clones" made by civvies come to the real thing. I'll bet there's a lot more conversion projects with the BCM C8 upper coming out.
