Old powders

Yes. It was made for loading military 303 ammo, but the lot of powder was rejected because of excessive muzzle flash. Tom bought all 25,000 pounds of it .

It is very similar to 3031 in speed. Use that data.

I had several jugs of it go bad. Turned orange, smelled like ammonia and very acid. Ate hole in the jugs and the steel shelves it was sitting on.
 
CR 17 in a .303 Br cost my best friend and hunting partner the biggest mountain goat he ever had a chance at. Three second hangfire, which he had never experienced before. Not only did he quit using this powder, he sold the rifle and switched to a .270.
