Good evening all.
I have my grandfathers old 22 ranger but it was decommissioned; welds barrel, etc. I am interested it getting it back in action and wondering what that would cost? I am in Nova Scotia so if anyone has recommendations for a local smith I would appreciate it.

Thanks all.

If only the chamber has been plugged, and nothing else welded, the barrel could be removed, the breech cut off, the shank machined to fit the receiver, the divot for the screw made, cut made for the extractor, and the chamber reamed. Probably a couple of hours work. $150-$200?

Sadly probably cost more than just finding one. I paid 80$ couple years ago for a Easton Ranger. I seen a few months ago Cooey barrels on the EE for 60 ish.
