Good Day.
I am looking at a private sale handgun, but the seller only has the old, aka “green” registration certificate. Are these still valid? If not what will be the process to get it transferred to me?

No they are not valid. The seller will have to call the 1-800 CFP number and after a few questions they will supply the new certificate number. I went through this about 6 months ago when I sold an old revolver and I only had the green certificate for and I could not remember where I placed the "new" certificate.
