Hi everyone, would like to introduce myself. I'm a longtime gun nut & hunter from the Ottawa area. I'm into Glock/Sig pistols , Sako/CZ rifles , good food , good drink and good times. Member of the Stittsville range/pistol club. Looking forward to shootin the breeze with ya. Have a great weekend all.
 
Hello Neen, welcome. I am interested in the Stittsville Range, can you tell me some of the details, ie types of membership & cost ? I was a member of the RA Pistol club, but could only shoot on Saturdays in the AM, and found that the open shooting on Saturdays was mostly cancelled due to tournaments.

The range is decent. There are 3 pistol ranges and 2 rifle ranges, one of which is 300 yards. Members can shoot Wed-12.00 till dark, Thurs/Fri 12.00 to 5.00 and weekends I believe are 9.00 to 6.00. To become a member you must attend 2 class room sessions and pass a written and practical test handling various handguns. As a member you automatically become a member of CSSA.They will look after the paper work involved in aquiring your transport permit. They have snacks and hot coffee {usually} for sale and a nice little pro shop selling guns & ammo and all kinds other stuff. Membersip- almost 500.00 a year.Blasting 200rnds out of my Glock 22 during lunch break-priceless.
 
Neen, you and i have the same tastes.
I have a glock and sig pistol, a CZ rifle and I'm dreamin' of a Sako. :D
