Hey guys, thought I'd throw this out to the experts. I used to have an old Bushnell Scopechief "Command Post" that I sold with a gun years ago. Today, I'm looking at getting a compact .22lr grouse gun and sort of wish I still had that thing. Not for the command post feature, I just remember the glass/clarity being really good.
Now, that was a while ago...so I'm not sure how much of my memory is nostalgia, how much is fact, but I know these old beauties still "command" a fair dollar. (no pun intended) I've yet to find the exact one I had for sale used, but I suppose I'm not married to the idea of getting the exact one. What I WOULD like is a recommendation...something about 4X max, great glass, compact, good light transmission for lower light/shadow conditions, etc. Of course, something used/modestly priced would be easier to get past the financial committee (wife) at home.
Really open to ideas, and exhausted/frustrated from trying unsuccessfully to find the same ScopeChief like I let go years ago...
Thanks,
Rob
******just found my last image of it, no integrated rail on bottom, like the common ones I see come-up for grabs...

Can anyone recommend a compact rifle scope for a .22 in a 1.75-4.5x magnification range?
