Old shot gun shells

Cleaning out the farther in laws hunting room and found some old Imperial shot shells found two boxes of 4's and a box of 5's. Does anyone remember when C/T was selling them for $3.77?

I cant say I remember the price, but certainly remember the shells. If you want to sell them, I’ll buy them!

Well I'm 60 years old, started buy shot shells in around 1976 or 1977. I also cannot remember that price.

You missed it by a decade , I was upset when they skyrocketed to $5.

Early to mid 60's vintage in 1970 I was 15 you would see the cil box on some retail shelf's Earle 70's sold to ivi

Got a bunch old imperial and dominion/canuck rounds here for 12 and 16 gauge
Some from my grandfathers old store. Very gd ammunition, wish they still made it
That way, ive a bunch of paper shells also.in full.boxes...some from canadian tire...
My dad bought them, like 4.95 a box.for 16 gauge.

I've still got a sealed case of IVI Imperial SLR, 20 ga. 71/2 shot up in my attic. I remember buying CIL target loads for 3 bucks a box when I was in high school.

I heard these were just the sauce for reducing porcupine-related veterinary bills. Just something I heard. I think they still work on ducks, too. Speculation.

Good ammunition. Things started to swirl the bowl when IVI was born. I found a bunch of Imperial paper 20 gauge shells years ago in great shape. Shot them all up at partridge. Great killers and I remember recoil and report was noticeably sharper than the Remington and Federal plastic shells I had on hand. Wish I had a case of them.
