When I got this old single shot she was a pile of broken Old parts. After a few hours of TLC she looks kinda pretty and shoots well too! Not quite done yet but almost!

this was when i got it all assembled. and it was my first time doing a cold blue, i still have to do some more touch ups. i stripped down the wood and havent decided which color im staining it. I have 3 other shotguns, but it seems i have the best accuracy with this one, so its been the only one i have been taking out lately. had to spend a bunch of time on the prep before blueing, but i am quite pleased. i used a low quality blueing that i wouldnt recommend for any one wanting a quality deep finish ( outers from Canadian Tire is what i used ) but hey it got the job done for this old girl

Nice to see an old gun fixed up. However, if you want a quality long lasting bluing, cold blue (any brand) is not the way to go. It is really meant for touch up. You can get a very nice looking result but it won't last. Especially if used in harsher weather.
