In watching one of the Thunder Ranch videos, Clint Smith had shown a shottie with a nice 5 round pouch with a zippered compartment. I scoured high and low and while there are plenty of 6 rounders out there, I wanted a 5 for my shortened stock, so it would fit nicely.
Anyway in searching Ebay I found a fiver from Hong Kong, that is sold for airsofters. Well, its surprisingly well made, fits beautifully, is green (very important), holds 10 rounds with 5 zippered inside, and is just the right length.

Who cares about poor quality zippers. That is why we all have moms and wives. In my experience changing out a zipper to my mom or wife is comparable to me changing out an air cleaner in the truck.

I bought an airsoft Crosman pistol holster not too long ago. It holds a 9mm perfect as well as a spare magazine. If only the airsofters knew, they would make a mess in their pants.

Looks to be a knockoff of the Eagle Industries pack; I've got a couple of them and quite like them. The originals are great.

you care when the zipper on your pack/jacket/pouch fails when youre miles in the bush
im not saying dont buy chinese clone bags, just know their limitations and go easy with the zippers - and IMO dont use them for stuff like hunting packs, BoBs, etc.

I guess it's kinda like buying "Chinese Clone" Shotguns. When you first get one you strip it all down and replace everthing with Remington parts.

I am not trying to "manbearpig" your post but I have had a few remington products and a few chinese products as well and in my opinion some of the remington stuff these days is not exactly what I would call an upgrade. Remingtons QC has gotten to a point where I pretty much avoid there products.

Neat, where is the wood from? Stock gun or aftermarket?

The wood is a police butt, which were not checkered (but shortened an inch and a half on mine) and a regular 870 forend with the checkering sanded off, I have a second one which is the same only shorter :

Just sanded with a wipe on poly, its a durable nice looking finish (IMHO).
