Old Super Clean Long Shot

Here's something I'll bet not many have seen:

As you might be able to see, the casing is somewhat stepped about halfway. Any history or stories about this round?

you can still buy new mfg .22 long bird shot. cci makes it

I shot a lot of the slightly newer version when I was a kid, CIL Whiz-Bang with a longer case and crimped case mouth. I don't ever recall ever seeing any roll crimped with over shot card, they must have some collector value, curiosity value if nothing else!
