I have one aquired from EE. I just had the trigger mechanics polished an it's a pleasure to shoot now.

I have a 69 with micrometer rear and aperture front sights added, as used in the CIL sponsored Dominion Marksman sporting target rifle program. It shoots really well.
That old Weaver B-series scope is mounted with the type N mount, which required drilling and tapping the 4 holes. These rifles pre-dated the universal 3/8" receiver grooving for scope mounting.
I think these vintage .22 rifles made by Winchester, Remington, Marlin, Mossberg, etc. are nicer than a lot of the current offerings.

I've got one someone used as a club or ran over. The stock is patched back together and it's got a homemade mag release button. My old man complained for months about the magazine costing more than the whole gun once he'd fixed it.
It's a joy to use and I should get it out more.

As to value, they come up on the EE for around $250 which is a bargain in many ways. Yours looks pretty worn on the finish but maybe the old school cool factor of the vintage scope will make up for that? Don't know if it's collectable or not.

I’m the caretaker so to say of this Win M61 for a friend of mine, it was his grandfather’s originally. I cleaned it up for him awhile back and he told me to hold onto it for him till he asks for it back, it’s such a fun rifle to shoot. The glass isn’t up to modern standards but it still does alright for an old gun, serial number dates it at 1941. Here’s some pics, I should really try and take some better ones outside in good light. It likes federal and cci mini mags, will have to do some more testing eventually. Would be fun to pop a few rabbits with it, which is what his grandpa used it for back in the day.

The pics are from before I pulled it all apart and scrubbed it clean, was sitting in a closet for god knows how long and had some rust and putting unfortunately. It did clean up well with oil and steel wool. Has an awesome trigger, no creep and crisp when it breaks.

Targets were 25y and 50y

Years ago I had a Winchester model 75 target that looked somewhat like your 69 except it had a 28" heavy target barrel. Rear sight was a redfield micrometer peep sight and a hooded lyman front sight with very fine crosshairs. I cant remember exact weight but it was around 11-12lbs.
She was a real tack driver.
That rifle was by far the most accurate 22 I had ever seen.
Everytime I think about that 1, I feel like kicking myself in the butt for ever selling it.

Like a relationship I had with a M52. Almost slashed my wrists! You know the grass is not greener at all.

Yup, youre exactly right. Quite a bit younger then and didnt know what I had.
Got $600 for it, and kinda needed the money. Thought I had robbed the guy, but seeing prices on that rifle now, I realize I robbed myself. Lol.

Yes ,but remember that 30-40 years ago that was good money and I sold Colt Pythons for 700.oo
i shot a 69A with the peep site for many years, Traded for a FN SA22, nice gun , But could not hold a candle to the old 69a as far as putting all the holes in one spot.

It would have been 20-25 yrs ago I sold it.
But yes it was a pretty good amount even then.
