Guys I'm trying to figure out a price for an older model 10/22 with a real nice walnut stock, WW Arcade leather sling. and a Banner 22 scope, over all mint condition, not a mark on the steel or wood.
Is it worth $300.00?
Thanks FS

is the banner scope a busnell sans the front bell and th the german looking reciticle? those ones are cool. I wish they still made them

brand new the basic 1022's are abou $210-225ish, some do pay more though.

Id be happy buying it at 200 or selling it at 250+. I personally think that 300 is too high, but i generally think that people want too much for there (used) guns

Mint condition for a 10/22 that is older/"sans plastic", with scope, seems decent at $300. IMHO.

Of course, I still think the 10/22 is a $189 rifle, but hey I'm living in the past.

22

Thanks Cyc, I heard that it has never been fired, it is a 1986 model, deluxe i guess with the checkering, and like I said real nice piece of walnut. FS

Well, I guess I'm showing my age... because '86 ain't that old to me ;)

For a reason or another I was thinking something in the line of the "older" walnet finger groove stock... that would have been worth $300

But a DSP can be had brand new with box and warranty for $300 @ WS... So $300 isn't exactly a deal... Just my 2 cents worth

Finger groove

Mike your finger groove is worth a lot more than $300.00, my 86 has a nice piece of walnut, not quite as nice as yours is. Plus mine is unfired.
Thanks FS

It's whatever they will pay Fassteel. Ruger has been cost cutting, placing a PLASTIC trigger guard on this year, driving demand for older ones up (or more desireable). Someone may pay more, just have to find them, and unfired and mint adds value, but its still a used firearm. It could go for $200 up to $300.

I don't think it matters if it's unfired. I wouldn't pay anymore for an unfired 10/22, just tells me it hasn't been proven yet. Now a unfired/unbubba'd milsurp is another matter...

X2 lone-wolf....I would like to have found an original unfired Enfield .303 to be a sidekick for my Enfield .410...but they were used as they should have been and to me their history is as important as unfired. How would you tell anyways? Even Winchester "collectibles" that are "unfired" had been cycled and fired at the factory.

Good Deal?

I just bought a 10/22 like this one including scope and mounts for $275. It is in very nice shape and that Monte Carlo walnut stock and blued steel make the new ones seem very cheap indeed!

Yea, on your last statement. Isn't almost all new guns fired at the factory anyways? The 'unfired' gun is almost a myth. And if they didn't care to test fire it at factory, that'd worry me more.

Now a unfired enfield(for example) I would pay more for then a war used one. I would definitely cherish the used one more though. I wouldn't even shoot the unfired one, so it'd have little value to me besides collecting.

a 10/22 with a nice walnut stock is worth $300 easy. Yes the new 10/22's are cheaper, but just because they are cheaper does not mean they should pull down the prices of the better ones. I think with the scope and sling $350 is not out of the question.
