Just picked on up at a show. I bought it for upland but I;m wondering if I can shoot non toxic out it for duck or goose. Modified choke in 20 gauge. Wondering what ammo I can use in it for Ducks? Anyway I'd say it is a 60's gun.

Modified choke can I shoot slugs?

Keep the steel smaller than #2 and you *should* be okay. Most will tell you keep it smaller than BB if it was steel in a 12 ga. but with the smaller bore, that's why I'm saying stay one size smaller yet. #4 works great on decoying ducks anyway. The Modified choke helps you here, as a Full would probably be too tight if not ruinous to the pattern, and IC may spread that lighter 20 ga. load out a little too thin.

Hmm Number 4 with steel. Interesting I'll read up on it or I'll use Bithmuth. Anyway I put some oil to it after shooting a few lead number 2's and slugs and it is smooth after getting oil for the first time in a while. I 'll have to measure the barrel but it's likely 28". I had fun with slugs they shot well at 60 yards 2-3 inches low. Its a nice old gun and I was surprised how smooth it was after I gave a cleaning and a bit of oil
