Proline Shooters had one about 2 weeks ago when I was there last.

they're out of stock, what about the smith & wesson m&p 15 22. how does that compare?

Well, the s&w is restricted, so you can only use that a licensed shooting range. But from what I've read, it's a great gun

For less than $650 you can build your own 10/22 that is lightyears better than a sr22!
Just buy a stock 10/22 $250+ stock you like+aftermarket barrel - original parts you sell = under $650
That's what I did.
Axiom stock, tactical solutions barrel minus stock and original barrel = $ just over $600 for me.

Great provided you don't plan on selling it. Lot easier to sell SR22 than customized 10/22.
