I thought I remebered a thread on this topic once before, searched and could not find it, so I apoloize if this is a rehash.

I am going to get one of the Dlask 870 8.5's and am going to get one of th uber cool shoulder holsters we saw in a previous thread....BUT.....

I also want to get a Molle style scabbard made for the 870, with a flap over the top, old military-handgun holster style. I want to make it out of Cordura, in a Khaki to match the Maxpedition Collossus shoulder field bag it will be attached to (webbing on the side of the bag should work great. Being that the actual firearm will not be visible (maybe a little bit of the grip), and the scabbard might not look very 'holsterish'....would I be at risk of LE thinking it was concealed?

I assume not, as it is a scabbard, and it is visible, just possibly not recognizable, but I would like opinions.

Stencil big red letters on the front that say GUN. You should be good.

haha jk

If the base of the pistol grip is visible you should be ok.

Really, what's the difference between that and a soft gun case though? Lots of guys use soft gun cases for carrying fishing rods and the such.

Assuming you're not sneaking around hiding it in you jeans or jacket you should be ok. LR

I want to use it as an option while hiking and camping, exploring, and for work if for some reason my ATC app is rejected. I figured that it would be alright, but thought I would get some opinions. :)
