If you like SVT-40s, this is for you. It is a Soviet movie from 1985 about the Nazi massacres in Belorussia. Of course, the Soviets are loud about Nazi atrocities but very quiet a bout their own!

This is a really good movie however. There are lots of rifles, many of which I couldn't quite name. Lots of German weapons in the hands of Nazis too. Also, the only movie I've seen someone use a Mosin Nagant M38 Carbine.

The audio in English is actually quite good.

have the movie,seen it many times and my ex gf family lived thru this.anyone having any good things to say about nazis should be forced to see it.

I'm not sure many folks have good things to say about Nazis. However, the Soviets were even worse (if it is all just a numbers game). I imagine if you showed this movie to a convinced Nazi he or she would say that it is just a Bolshevik lie or they would be proud that they were able to cleanse the East of so many "inferiors." If you want, post the movie on the Stormfront forums (which use the same software as ours!!!). (edit FYI: I came across it accidentally this morning while looking for a Family Guy screenshot).

Anyways, it always strikes me as odd to do the "accounting of death" in the 20th Century, but the Nazi crimes saturate our culture whereas the Soviet ones "disappear," even though they were numerically more. After all, everyone knows the name of Himmler, but who knows the names of the Soviet leaders of Stalin's extermination?

I would go as far to say that the exact same movie could concievably be made with the Red Army doing all the massacres of innocent villagers instead of the Nazis. Just tell them their Kulaks!! All of them Kulaks!!

The Kulaks have nice guns though, with all that exploitation they do.

Screenshots of this movie are hard to come by. I always try to post some pics with the rifles in them but this movie in particular was impossible.

Who's the skinny guy in the German uniform?
 
I got a PAL version on eBay that works on my computer but not my stupid DVD player. I bet if you looked you could find a regular NTSC version.

PS: you don't need a PAL for this movie.
 
Stalin killed more russians than hitler did. When the germans invaded, the call was not "defend communism" but to defend "Mother Russia"
If the germans had not practiced their schrecklishkeit on the population, Stalin would have been hanging from a lampost in Moscow.
Of course the nazi's behaved like nazi's and it went the other way.

True, there's a lot to say for the behaviour of the Nazis upon their advance and how it soured the population against them. With thier help they could have done a lot more damage to the USSR. Of course, at that point they were making huge advances into Russia, surrounding millions of soldiers... it was certain victory!!!
