One piece VS two piece Leupold bases?

Personally, I prefer the cleaner look of two piece bases...

I think the only small advantage the two-piece has over the one-piece is the two-piece is held on with 4 screws rather than 3. I use both styles

I would actually look at this as a disadvantage for the 2 ps. If one screw loosens, one of the bases might turn. If one screw on the one ps loosens, the base will probably stay in place, because it is still anchored by 2 screws. That said, I think that the one ps looks ugly and lob sided and because of action lengths it is harder to find.

The only advantages I have ever been able to immagine is if your reciever was not on the same hoizontal plane (one ring higher than another) the one piece base, so long as it was stiff enough and did not warp when screwed down, would hold the rings in line. Scope tube would not be bent.

Well something has to give. Your reciever, the base, or both.
