 Enfield??? Whhhaaaattt? Is that a mid east special I'm seeing or did this thing actually get produced?

Edit - that's a Lee Metford isn't it....

Oh, and his entire photo album is pretty cool - lots of cool guns and stuff:

( Armshouse anyone?)

Wow! Check out the factory album! If any one wants a semi Bren produced or any other want this the place to have it done.

The rifling machine and deep hole drill are very cool to see.

You could give a person a heart attach with a box of 08 sled mount top straps like in one picture. Those are worth a small fortune ..each !!!

Looks like a lot of the made-up Khyber Pass Enfields and Martinis that were imported by Tennessee Guns two years ago and peddled by SOG in the USA. Many of these are showing up on Internet Auctions, basically just a bunch of wallhangers unsafe to shoot.

Wally, how did you come across that album?

Well too bad it's not near Ottawa, I would have loved to drop by :D

Google images:D Was looking up martini henry and found his interesting little site.

The pic of his toddler son holding an MP40 and sucking on the muzzle threw me off a bit, but looks like a great place otherwise.

Just as a side note, if some of them are so dangerous, what if the lugs and barrels were replaced on some of the STG 44s? Wouldn't that make them useable, and heck, cheap?

Edit - I mean that it looks like they're making a lot of those things new, so if properly made lugs and barrels were added to a S/A only gun, wouldn't it be a cheap and safe alternative to what we have now?

This guy appears to be an arms dealer in the Peshawar district in Pakistan.
Any chance these arms are coming from or are going to Afganistan?

I'd sure like to pic through those Martinis and Enfields.
Sheesh!

I do not recognize these markings.

The markings on the rifle as shown above indicate London Small Arms Company Limited and that the rifle itself should be a Lee-Enfield Mark I.

It should have a 30.2-inch heavy barrel, rear handguard only and front band with bayonet bar integral.

LSA rifles were made up by various shops in the gun trade in and around London, one shop doing bolts, another doing woodwork and so forth. They had a little assembly shop, but most of the work was done by various apprentices in the big makers. Holland and Holland did a lot of stock work.

BSA made commercial Lee-Enfield and Lee-Metford rifles, so I would not be surprised to hear that LSA did likewise, although much of their (small amount of) work was done for the Government.

Looks like a nice piece.
