Online Applications and Calling In

Hey all,

I've just submitted my PAL Application 2 days ago through the online portal and my signatories and photo guarantor have not received any emails to verify the info on my application. I'm under the impression that my application can't be processed until they receive this e-mail for verification. Am I mistaken? If not, how long after submitting my PAL app should they expect an e-mail? I've tried to call in to ask but after all the menu prompts, I'm told that the call volume is too high and I'm not even able to wait in a queue. The call will just hang up.

Hoping someone here who knows about the processing timeframe can help me out or even tell me how to get a hold of someone over the phone

When I submitted mine (about 6 years ago now) it took roughly 6 months to come in. Unsure if my references got a call or not but I know I've been on a couple friends applications and I think I've only been called once by the rcmp
 
When I applied online, the verification emails went out within 10 minutes. You're correct, the application processing won't begin until your references proceed with the online acknowledgments. Did the emails maybe end up in their spam folders?
 
I just applied and had the same experience as coll. Verification emails went out right away and then it was 8 weeks from my application to the day the card was in the mailbox at my address! Wasn’t too bad at all! Must have sped up from years past
 
One of my granddaughters recently got her first RPAL card in the mail, it took 4 months from submitting the online application to receiving the card.
No follow up was done, just let the system grind onwards at its own pace.
 
I got mine earlier this year and it took 6 months and multiple phone calls to be BC CFO to have it approved. I too had to deal with getting kicked off the phone line due to "high call volume" but once I was able to actually talk to someone and ask where my license was they approved it and sent it later that day. You just have to be patient. But definitely start calling once your 1 month waiting period is over
