On a variation of the ever popular "Only 3 guns" topic. You can only have 3 hunting books.

Mine would be:
"Big Game Animals of North America" - O'Connor
"Great Arc of the Wild Sheep" - Clarke
"Heart of the Hunter" - Marshall

Game Loads and Practical Ballistics for the American Hunter - Bob Hagel
Big Game Animals of North America - Jack O'Connor
Death in the Long Grass - Peter Hathaway Capstick.

I have quite a collection of Capstick's writing, and while I realize he
was a bit of a B'S'er He writes great prose. EE.

What are these book things you speak of? ;)

I heard of these "books".

I think they are like a kindle, only one available title, and printed on some kind of cellulose based fabric (paper), that make up 'pages'. A book is a bunch of these 'pages' bound together between slightly thicker cellulose covers.

I even heard rumors that these don't need any electricity or the internet to work... but we all know that's not possible.

Karamojo Safari, WDM Bell
African Hunter, James Mellon
Maneaters of India, Jim Corbett ( this is an omnibus compiling three of his books, so I'm cheating a little here)

Months of the sun: 40 years of elephant hunting in the Zambezi valley
Blood on the Leaves.....about hunting accidents
And the other ones are about hunting 2 legged species

Just three of the memorable ones of the many gun and hunting related books I have, The Book of the Rifle by Jim Carmichael is a very under rated book.

Jim Carmichaels "Book of the Rifle"

Hell I Was There by Elmer Keith

Shotguns by Jack O'Connor

I always enjoy books by Elmer Keith and Jack O'Connor, they were not the best of buddies and there views differ which makes for an interesting comparative read.

Ardent already listed my three favorites so I'll have to pick three more......
Dangerous River - R.M. Patterson
Buffalo days and Nights- Peter Erasmus
Northern Trader - H.S.M. Kemp

Three favorites I didn't see listed yet:

The Deer Hunter's Guide by Francis Sell, 1964
Aagaard's Africa by Finn Aagaard, 1991
New Guinea Crocodile Poacher by Gunther Bahnemann, 1964
