only curious .... longest 870 mag extension ?

Haven't done any searching because I'm not in need of such a beast but longest 870 mag extension I recall seeing is 3 rounds.

What's the longest offered ?
 
Wholesale sports usually has the 10 rd Tacstar extension in stock. Like most things on their shelves make sure you check the packaging to make sure it hasn't been opened. Over half the stuff I get from there is used and often missing parts. When someone returns something they just tape it shut and put it back on the shelf.

it is not the shot you have to worry about it is the black marks from the gases
even a mag extension one inch longer than the barrel is a cleaning chore-- its way harder to clean the extension
 
Well, I wouldn't want an extension protruding past the barrel.

All my SG's are pump with either 12, 14 or 18" barrels. Been thinking of picking up a longer .... maybe 24" barrel (can't see wanting to go up to 30") and was tossing about idea of extension for that so was curious.

Tacstar ?? Hummmm ..... name sounds like some cheesy offshore junk, could be wrong.

There's no issues with it protruding, in fact, I prefer it as it protects the muzzle, front sight area when you dump your shotgun at a match.

My boy's 870 has a +7 on a 26" barrel and it sticks past by a couple of inches.

There's nothing wrong with Tacstar extensions, either.

Imagine the spread at 50 yards if the shot was able to hit a mag extension only a few inches off the front of the barrel
