hey folks, back from a moose hunt this weekend... to make a long story short... we hunted 4 different hunts this weekend and saw 6-7 bulls

I called this bull on the 29th , he came across the cut( 267 yrds ranged) and then disappeared into the bush.. I bawled a couple of times and hooked this bull in.. he was burping every step for the last 100yrds.. I shot him( poor shot) at 12 yrds and then my partner shot him at 5 yrds as he ran past him...

not a bad bull, he measured 47 inches and will taste great!!!

God I love moose hunting with a bow...

sorry guys.. there is one less bull in WMU 15B...

Hey grouseman this may seem really weird but I am positive that my hunting partner and I bumped into you last year in 15b. It was off of the Dorion cut off rd. If I remember correctly you were driving a chevy half ton 4x4. We were in a black ford 4x4 fx4. Anyways I could be crazy but I thought I recognized you. Sorry if I am wrong. Again congrats:D!

nope definitly wasn't me.. don't know anyone who has a chevy half ton...

btw Im the young guy...could have been the other guy?

How many guys go up? Is it just to 2 of you? Just wondering how it is to get a tag for a bull for archery up there?

Hi the guaranteed gruop size in 15B was 4 guys for an archery bull.. we however only had 3( the other guy came out with us for the first week of the first week of the season, but didn't come out this weekend)
even though we didn't meet the guaranteed gruop size, we still new that our odds for a tag were really high becasue we would get drawn in the large group allocation...( just another reason why people should apply in groups when you don't meet the guaranteed group size)

great hunt!

Well done gentlemen, especially that you took it with bows.Where you on the Graham Lake road ? I have made a couple of trips there for rifle season and at least saw moose every trip. Haven't been since '02,got a big cow that year. WMU 15B is one of the better areas but its along haul from eastern Ontario. Kudos to all in your party.

Cheers -Mark
