ONT Turkey Seminars Registration Open, MARCH 8 SEMINAR say HI if you see Huntress & I

Hey Guys & Gals;

Registration opened today, Jan.9th/09, for the Ontario Turkey Seminars. My wife and I are going to Seminar #31, March 8th at the RA Centre in Ottawa.

P.S. This is what I will be wearing to the seminar, say hi if you see me and Huntress!!! Fran wanted a cool turkey shirt, but the ONLY girly shirt (pink) was the Primos calls one...

Ahhh, I can't believe they have it on the 8th in Ottawa... that week it's my girlfriends birthday so it is probably bad timing. Anyone know how long these seminars are?
 
Ya, its a yawner. Get a timmy's before hand. For some reason, these really dumb looking birds are fun to hunt, as i found out last spring . The course gives you lots of tips. heck i even bagged one 2 weeks after taking the course. Good luck hunting!

While I have a problem with it being set up the way it is, i.e. a mandatory course from a specific organization... We can't hunt turkey's without the course and until something changes, we are stuck with it...

It should now be taught in the standard hunting course. I'd image theirs some overlap anyway, and if they got rid of the OFAH influence, it could most likely be shrunk down.

Im scheduled to take mine in Parry Sound this year
 
huge waste of time and a big money grab. hopefully the money is actually going towards the birds though, turkey that is:D. at least its not as bad as the boating license that you can do online:rolleyes:

I'll be going to the Kemptville course. Hunting instructor told us the turkey course is "one hour of learning useful stuff, the rest them trying to sell you things".

BTW, did anyone else think the registration for this sucks? It seems only way to pay is with credit card which you have to fill in all your info then either put in mail, or fax. Not too secure.

IIRC, the online registration was a "https" link, so it was secure. And YES, I agree, we are in for a session of "product flogging"... All while being kept captive for the day... UGH!
