Definitely not my first deer hunt.
If I hang one more rack on my wall it will collapse from the weight. ;)

I usually take a small doe now as they're better eating.
That being said my days of hunting for 'bone' are over.
Table fare is far more important these days.

Oh god, if its brown? what ? what? you have to finish that. All I know about if its brown, flush it down, if its yellow let it mellow. I don't think that's what you meant. lol.

This is a very good point. If we are going to get on a "Buy Canadian" kick and rightfully so due to Mr. Trump's "Buy American" then we should all send an email to our Ontario MPPs to get this work brought home. I wish that I could find a list of current Ontario MPPs that I could copy and paste to a group list on my email contacts.
The only downside is you are going to get a couple of form letter emails from each MPP which probably will be useless.
By the way I am proud to say that I did vote for our current legislature.
 
Successful in 84 again. Unfortunately don’t think I’ll be able to get down there for the 6 day hunt though. Bummer.
 
Back in the day when you could take any deer on a deer license we never shot does by convention and for the first few years of the new lottery system I never applied for a doe tag.
Now I hunt exclusively does.
Took a non-hunting friend with me a couple of years ago and we parked ourselves behind a ground blind.
There was an 10 point buck and a couple of lesser bucks and 2 or 3 does approaching in a group and I selected and took the smallest doe in the bunch much to my buddies consternation. He caught it all on his smartphone.
People who watch the ‘footage’ still remark “that 10-pointer standing in front of you and you took that scrawny doe?”
It isn’t about wall mounts any more it’s all about the frying pan.

My PA tag and my Ontario tag look the same.
That’s because they were both made at the same place.
Mr. Ford ... why is the Ontario gov’t putting Americans to work producing Ontario licenses?

That’s what I like about Manitoulin.
Lots of deer and lots of tags.
I only missed 1 year since I started applying for doe tags.

Probably only a matter of time before the Indians kick us off Manitoulin to.
Guess all it takes now is an add in the paper.

Ever since Harris caved on the spring black bear season I don’t have much faith in the Ontario Conservatives either.
