Does anyone know of an Ontario online or store contact info for one that sells the Maverick line from Mossberg? I have been searching and found some out west but have had no luck finding a place that carries the shotgun line in Ontario.

Cabelas in WPG is the closest one to me that I have found. Epps doesn't have the Maverick line on thier website.

Just starting out and don't want to spend a lot at first...

Thanks for any input.

you can pick up an 870 express for just a bit more than the Maverick and its twice the gun. Im talking about $250 and under. And you can always add on more ( barrels, stocks ect ) and with the Maverick you cannot as easily

Back to your original question. Can Tire Carried Mavericks. They still might if you can find one that sells guns.

I see that Dave... If I had my Rpal in hand I would be all over it. I am interested in the Model 500 with the 28" and 18" for 299.00. Hopefully they will have the same or similar on sale when I have my plastic in hand.

Most places will hold the gun for you if you pay now and just do the transfer when you get your PAL.

IIRC you're from T.Bay? If so, I remember Can Tire has the 88's. I think it was the one on Arthur.

EDIT: I didn't remember correctly. It was a Charles Daly that I saw.

Yes, I'm in T Bay and didn't know that the CT on Arthur carried firearms. I always go to the one in the Thunder Center. Thanks for the info I'll check it out tomorrow.

I thought that the CT in Kenora was the only one that carried firearms around here.

"...the Maverick line..." When you find one, don't expect it to be anywhere near the prices seen on Mossberg's Maverick site.
Look into a used Mossberg 500 or Rem 870. Buying a used firearm isn't like buying a used car. Takes a great deal of abuse to damage a modern firearm.
Epp's is listing a used 3", 870 with a 20" barrel, for $279.

LOL

My MaV 88 is decked out with every Moss 500 part... They all fit except for 1. The Foregrip.

So I dont know why you would say that.

I love My Mav88... Best 150$ I ever spent.

my mav 88 is better than any 870 i've shot. it's fits me much better, and feels smoother. i picked mine up from wholesale for about $250 to my door. 18" and 28" barrels. i picked up a pistol grip for 15 bucks.

I have done a lot of reading while waiting for the CFC and the Maverick has a lot of good reviews (like yours) so I thought it would be a good inexpensive starter. The combo barrel package is a great bonus, so it makes sence to me to start there. Finding them is the problem a lot of places are sold out or don't stock the Mavericks

On another note, I called my local CT that carries firearms (Thanks Jackenape), I asked the kid about 12G pumps and he told me about a .22LR??
My fault for calling, I should take a ride over there. It would be nice if the staff in the firearms department knew a bit about guns LOL.
