Ontario hunters - the antlerless deer lottery is open from 01 March - 30 June.

You can apply online: https://www2.on.wildlifelicense.com/start.php?lang=1

Or you can call: 1-800-288-1155.

For the new hunters, you have to purchase a deer license when you enter the lottery, if you are successful in the lottery, you will me mailed a antlerless deer licence, if not you will receive a antlered license. The cost is $50.69.
The nice thing about buying it online, is they mail it to you, and you don't need to go out and buy one.

Lol won the draw last year. Couldn't get out hunting last year (farm) was too busy. The only deer I saw was 2 does and 2 weenlings in a group, out my back field, couldn't and wouldn't pull the trigger lol. Next year can't come soon enough and I'll go find a buck.

No one in my group for any doe tags. And a black bear decided to turn the deer bait in it's personal buffet. I hope we can get some doe tags again this year.

Would it be bad form to ask for hunting mentorship here?
Have my hunting licence, as well as PAL and want to apply for a tag. Just unsure of what WMU. If someone was willing to take a new hunter on a trip...

Make sure to apply early so Wynne can manage your licence dollars in the upstanding way she has done in the past. It all about the $50 not managing a resource cause when your broke everyone else's cash is what matters. Plus we can use the licence money to subsidize the Hydro rebates to buy votes.
