Ontario Moose Draw Question

I have 15 pool 1 guys lined up for this year, maximizing our chance in an otherwise impossible WMU.

We normally apply by telephone, which was the plan for this year. I remember hearing something stating that "if you have already purchased a license, you cannot use this system" when I called in last year.

Well, this year one of the guys bought his license over the counter and we have the paper draw application. The other 14 have not done anything and await my instructions. I hope guy #1 hasn't thrown a monkey wrench into things.

Question - can we just put the group number given to us over the phone on his paper application and send it in, or do the other 14 guys now have to all buy licenses and mail the application into one person who will then in turn take all 15 to the MNR office?

A little confused here, and a check with ServiceOntario wasn't helpful.

As long as he has the same Group Reference Number on his application, all should be OK...

Camaraderie aside, if I had to have 15 guys to hunt one moose, I'd go to a different area with 2 or 3 good friends...

I didn`t even know they were selling tags yet.

The 2009 regs are clear that you all need to apply the same way:

Page 38, 2009 regs:

If hunting in a group, contact all group members and decide whether you will all apply by telephone, or if you will all apply by paper application. (All group members must use the same method.) Choose one method only – you will be disqualified if more than one application is submitted in your name.

Well, that explains why...
Thanks, Kenny.
