Three GTA hunters need a recommendation for a 2009 Ontario moose hunt. We have been successful on deer and caribou on our own. Probably we could handle a self guided hunt, either in cabins, tents, etc. We have a 4x4 Suburban which should take us just about anywhere semi paved. One gun club member suggests driving back roads in NW Onario looking for sign (he claims to have good luck in the past) but I would prefer something a little more organized. Cost is a concern that will rule out full service lodges, but we can pay a reasonable price. Thanks for any advice.

try sienneriver lodge up in Atikokan, great place we went in 2008 great moose numbers and bring you shotgun for grouse. Talk to Lori and Quinte, they charged $35 per person per day and recommend to get the guide MIke Fogg, he really worked hard for us to get a bull moose it was a great place and a great hunt. The guide was $150.00 per day and we divided that cost between four guys, it was a four day min. for the guide.
