Ontario moose tag question

my son and i have a cow tag for wmu 3. after archery season, the cow tag turns into a calf tag during rifle season.

is that calf tag valid for any wmu? or just wmu 3 where the cow tag was? regs arent clear on this.

Any WMU rifle moose is open save WMU 48, 55A, 55B 57 and 65.

It will be valid in any WMU with an open rifle season... BUT, I have heard that there will be a change for next year and the calf tags will be allocated by WMU... which I don't have to tell you... sucks! We are off on the archery moose hunt with bull tag in pocket in three sleeps...
